Scene: The Great Ape Rally - "Make Apes Great Again!"
A massive clearing in the jungle has been transformed into an open-air arena. The sun is setting over the trees, casting long shadows on the ground. In the center, a large stage has been set up, where a variety of apes are gathered to hear their leaders speak.
The crowd is composed of gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, and bonobos, all dressed in their finest makeshift rally gear: leafy hats, homemade signs, and a handful wearing hand-painted “Make Apes Great Again” T-shirts.
At the podium, standing tall, is the leader of the gorillas, a towering figure with immense strength and wisdom. His name is Koko the Great, and he looks every bit the part of an ape who’s had enough of the rise of hominins.
Koko the Great (smashing his fists into the podium): “Fellow apes! Our time has come! For too long, we’ve been pushed to the margins of evolution. First, it was Homo habilis, then Homo erectus, and now—now we’re looking at these so-called ‘Homo sapiens’ claiming to be the future! Well, I’ve had enough of it!”
The crowd roars in agreement, pounding their chests and hooting.
Koko the Great (pounding the podium): “It’s time to put our ape ancestors back where they belong—at the top of the evolutionary ladder. No more caving to these so-called ‘humans’ and their fancy tools and fire-making! We were the original thinkers. We were the original leaders of the jungle!”
Chimpanzee Leader (standing beside Koko, a chimp named Zara): “Exactly! Humans may have mastered fire, but they didn’t master compassion like we did. Have you seen them? They’re always arguing and fighting over things! We bonobos know the way—peace and cooperation are what make us strong!”
The bonobos cheer loudly in support. They start holding hands, demonstrating their favorite form of unity.
Zara (grinning): “If you want peace, you call on a bonobo! We’re the true role models, not those Homo sapiens who keep pushing their selfish ways!”
Orangutan Leader (a thoughtful figure with a rich mane of orange fur, named Bako): “Yes, Zara. We orangutans may be quieter, more solitary, but we have our own power. Homo sapiens talk about ‘progress,’ but they forget what it means to slow down and think. Slow living is what’s needed—balance in nature, not just technology!”
The orangutans nod in agreement, with some performing graceful gestures as they sway with the wind.
Koko the Great (turning back to the crowd, raising his hand): “I say it’s time for us to reclaim our legacy, my friends! We will show these humans what true power is—not through tools, not through machines, but through unity, strength, and wisdom. We will make apes great again!”
The crowd goes wild, chanting and clapping in unison.
Audience (shouting): “Make Apes Great Again! Make Apes Great Again!”
Koko the Great (holding up a massive fist): “We’ve got the numbers. We’ve got the strength. We’ve got the hearts of the jungle! No more will we let the hominins take the spotlight. This world is ours, and we will rise above them!”
Zara (shouting over the cheers): “Let’s show them who the true rulers of this planet are!”
Bako (nodding sagely): “With patience and wisdom, we shall guide the Earth into a new era. The apes shall lead again.”
