Trump Rally: "Make Failure Great Again!"
“Folks, folks—listen up. You know, a lot of people, they’ve been telling me failure is bad. They’re wrong. They don’t know what they’re talking about. I know failure. I’ve experienced failure more than anyone. Believe me, when you’re the best, you fail more than anyone. And you know what? That’s great—failure is fantastic. It’s a great thing. We’re going to make failure great again. Believe me.”
(The crowd looks around, unsure, but Trump’s confidence is contagious.)
“I’ve failed in so many ways, folks. So many ways. And I’ve learned from each one. You’ve got to fail to know how to succeed. Like, look at me—I’ve failed at golf. I’ve failed at businesses. I even failed to buy the best buildings sometimes. But I tell you, that’s how you become the greatest—you fail, and then you get up and say, ‘I’m going to fail even harder next time!’ It’s called winning through failure, folks.”
(The crowd starts clapping, unsure why, but it feels good.)
“We’ve all heard these so-called experts talking about ‘success’ like it’s the only thing that matters. They say, ‘Don’t fail!’ Well, folks, I say, fail harder! Fail bigger! When you fail like I’ve failed, you don’t just fail. No. You leave a legacy of failure. That’s the Trump way. It’s a beautiful failure, folks. It’s the kind of failure that makes history. And people look at it and say, ‘Wow, that was a fantastic failure.’”
(Some in the crowd start whispering to each other, trying to wrap their heads around this, but they’re too caught up in his confidence to question it.)
“Listen, failure is where the real innovation happens. When I ran my businesses, I failed so much—I’m talking so much—that it was almost like a strategy. People would say, ‘That Trump, he’s failing again!’ and I’d say, ‘Of course, I’m failing. But you know what? I’m going to fail in a way no one has ever failed before. I’m going to do it so big, so loud, that it’ll make everyone rethink what failure is!’ And let me tell you, folks, it was tremendous.”
(The crowd is now chanting, “Fail! Fail!” with growing enthusiasm.)
“We’re going to bring failure back to this country. We’re going to make failure great again. Because when you fail like I’ve failed, you get things done. People talk about success, but success is overrated. Failure—real failure—that’s what makes a nation great.”
(A few people start holding up signs that read “Failure = Success!”)
“You know what, folks? Success is boring. You have a success, and then you just move on. You get a trophy, and you’re like, ‘Eh, it’s over.’ But failure, folks? Failure is endless. You can fail and fail again. And then, when you think you’ve failed enough, you fail even bigger. It’s a beautiful cycle.”
(Trump pauses, letting the concept sink in. The crowd, now fully absorbed, starts chanting “Fail Harder!”)
“And let me tell you—failure isn’t just about losing, it’s about winning in the most unexpected ways. You fail, and then you make the best of it. Like when I failed with that casino. Total failure. But now look—everybody talks about it. They remember it. People are still talking about my failures. That’s the legacy of a true winner.”
(A few people nod, a little confused but fully immersed in the energy of it.)
“You fail, and then you take that failure, and you put it in a gold-plated frame. You make it shine. You make it iconic. We’re talking museum-quality failure, folks. The kind of failure you tell your kids about. They look at it and say, ‘Wow, that’s a huge failure. Maybe I should fail like that, too.’ That’s the Trump effect. We’re going to fail in ways nobody has ever failed before. And it’s going to be great.”
(The crowd cheers, some of them beginning to think maybe they should fail more often.)
“We’re going to make failure not just an option—it’s going to be a requirement. If you’re not failing, folks, you’re not even trying. But with me? You’re going to fail bigly. And that’s the only way to win. That’s how you get things done. You fail to win.”
(The crowd erupts, chanting “Fail big!” as Trump waves his hands, smiling confidently.)
“Thank you, thank you, everyone. Together, we will make failure great again. Believe me. It’s going to be tremendous.”
