Dalek Inferno: The Rise, Fall, and Return of the Universe’s Most Lethal Band
Few bands in the history of music have caused as much devastation—both sonic and literal—as Dalek Inferno. Formed in the burning wreckage of the Skaro Underground Scene, they redefined metal, jazz, and cosmic terror, blending extreme percussion with intergalactic war crimes.
The Early Days: The Sound of Extermination
The band’s founder, Dalek Blastbeat, was originally an experimental weapons specialist who accidentally discovered that high-speed drumming could vaporize matter. Instead of reporting this to the Dalek High Council, he started a band. The lineup soon expanded to include:
- Dalek Powerchord – Lead guitarist, infamous for shredding so fast it melted lesser instruments (and, occasionally, audience members).
- Dalek Bassline – The only Dalek to play bass with a plunger. Despite initial skepticism, his groove-heavy approach became Dalek Inferno’s signature.
- Dalek Screech – Vocalist, whose voice could destabilise planetary atmospheres. Their live shows often required emergency evacuations.
Their debut album, Exterminate in B Minor, was a critical and commercial success, though it was outlawed on five Federation worlds for “catastrophic waveform emissions.”
The Infamous Concert at Nebula Nine
The turning point came during their disastrous show at Nebula Nine. Midway through their encore, Skaro Slam, Dalek Blastbeat entered an unprecedented 1,200 BPM blast beat frenzy. This created a gravitational singularity on stage, sucking in three supporting acts and several fans before authorities shut down the event.
Banned from most known star systems, Dalek Inferno entered exile.
The Reunion Tour: Louder. Deadlier. Funkier?
For years, it was assumed Dalek Inferno had been destroyed, either by legal action or by their own sonic weaponry. But in the year 500,000,000,001, a distress signal was intercepted—one encoded in polyrhythmic drumming patterns. Dalek Inferno was alive. And they had a new sound.
Merging their classic metal destruction with unexpected influences—disco, samba, and an alarming amount of reggae—the Dalek Inferno Reunion Tour was announced. The universe braced itself.
Would their music finally unite galaxies… or destroy them in an apocalyptic funk-metal inferno?
